How to Make Magnificent Origami Flowers?

Flowers are the most beautiful things on earth. The sight of a striking colorful flower lifts up our mood instantly. It not only makes us feel happy but also instills us with vigor and energy. But natural flowers tend to wither away quickly. Try origami flowers. They are long lasting and won’t droop down if you don’t give them water. Origami flowers can be easily made at home. There is no need to rush to an origami expert or look for a master. There are simple steps that need to be followed. Once you know what the basics are, then origami will be a fun game to you.

You cannot be a born origami artiste. So give yourself time. Start with crumpled pieces of paper that generally go to the dustbin. Practice makes a man perfect. After you have practiced with waste paper then try out the more expensive ones. Origami paper is not very cheap. Metallic foils, Washi paper and the famous soft colored paper are the popular types of origami paper.

Make roses, lilies, tulips or daffodils. Start with the flower that you like.

Lily

If you know how to make a water bomb base then you have already done the major part. After this you have to just fold the centre points into a star and fold back the star points to form the petals. Let your lily breathe by opening it up carefully.

Daffodil

These are a bit more complex to make. It is best if you see the diagrams. You will understand the process better. Take a square piece of paper. First form a rhombus and then form a kite by folding the sides. Fold it in two halves. Form a crease and fold the front flap. After squash folding open the right and left centers. Repeat the steps and you will get the petals. Don’t forget to curl the petals upwards otherwise the daffodil will not settle down.

Rose

Bored of paper? Try to make a rose from a paper napkin. After you lay out the napkin you need to make a valley fold. The right end of napkin has to be around your fingers to form the petals. The head of the rose has to be formed by twisting the petals. Form the stem and the leaves.

Origami Blossom

You can start with a square paper. Fold it in half in length and breadth in both sides. You will get some well-defined creases. Using them bring the first three corners to the lowermost corner. Let the open part face you. The triangular flaps need to be folded on both the sides. After you have folded the bottom corner open the front and back petals. Use a red colored origami paper to make your blossom look gorgeous.

You can even spray a scent of the particular flower on your origami flower to make it more alluring. While you work with your origami flowers make sure your hands are clean. Don’t touch your origami flowers with greasy hands. It will stain them permanently.

Paper flowers can be given as gifts to children or even as a token to love to our partners. People will notice the effort that you have put in to make the flower. After you become an expert then you can try out patterns and folds of your own to create your own set of flowers. Use colored dotted paper to bring more variety. Your dull house will suddenly look bright if you place a bunch of blossoms or lilies in the living room.

Making origami flowers is fun. It can be a great pastime. You can even teach people to make flowers out of paper, napkins and even toilet paper!
